I'm stuck on number 45: "He was famous for singing from Westward Ho! to Trinidad" (5, 6).
The quiz features crossword-style clues ranging from simple GK through anagrams to cryptic and tricksy. This section of the quiz is about male singers, and the answers are in alphabetical order. Number 44 is “PAVAROTTI” and number 46 is “SINATRA”, so this answer must come between those. The answers aren’t all surnames, though: some are full names, like “GEORGE FORMBY”, some are groups, like “THE BEATLES”, and some are generic terms like “CASTRATO” or “BARITONE”.
Note that the alphabetical ordering is naive, so "GEORGE FORMBY" is sorted as GEO... rather than as FOR... . So if this (5, 6) is a singer's name (which seems likely) it is their FIRST name that will need to come between PAV... and SIN...
