The only thing that fits is

On the road

Please don't keep starting new threads, add to the one going - it gets very hard to follow.
On the line means at risk so has the OP erred badly.
If it is "on the line" that presumably means that the "a" is an "n"
I was thinking along the lines of Blood donor, but if 3 and 7 something "donator" Big donator ????
Blood donor fits if 5&5.
Blood donor fits the clue Danny, but not the letters. If on the line is correct, and I believe it is, then the letters would be _ _ _ / _ _ N _ _ _ _. So where the N for line is,blood donor would have a D, even if 5&5..
Doh.I thought we hads cracked it.Maybe Big donator is right.
Barmbrack - What is the clue please that gives the "R"
We WILL crack it Danny
Donator is not a recognised word on my PC.
Jackdaw - as I would use Donor, I checked it out first
http://www.dictionary.com/browse/donator?s=t
Until such time as Barmbrack has the courtesy to provide the clues with the correct letter counts I think you're flogging a dead horse.
Hi Capt,so you think on the line is correct too?
on the road it is - I don't like it, but...............
I surrender, got a headache.
I'm just as confused as everybody else Danny
On the line does indeed seem most likely. It is frustrating Barmbrack that we still don't seem to know the clues for the crossing donor/donater clue
