Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

Balders, don't know why, but a lot of the starting dates are wrong so if only a couple of posts I assume a newcomer.

Welcome Major & enjoy the site, make sure your spelling is correct otherwise you will get to know about it, there are links to find the answers, you will more than likely get told that, there are some very jolly people on here, there are also some miserable *** as you will find out.

I think the starting dates are probably right, danny, but quite a lot of people just use the site to look/search for answers rather than ask/answer questions, and then at some stage get round to asking a question, sometimes inadvertently by posting a search in the wrong box- the question box - by accident

The guidelines are just there for guidance, major. The key thing is to include all the information that is given in the crossword- exact full clue, letter count and perhaps details of the known pattern. Apart from The Skeleton, crosswords usually include a letter count so it makes sense to provide it here.
