A bit obscure for my money, but the poem 'Hohenlinden' by Thomas Campbell, which describes the Battle of Hohenlinden (1800), contains the lines:
But redder yet that light shall glow
On Linden's hills of stainèd snow,
And bloodier yet the torrent flow
Of Iser, rolling rapidly.
So it's R (river) + ISER ('rapid roller near battlefield')
But redder yet that light shall glow
On Linden's hills of stainèd snow,
And bloodier yet the torrent flow
Of Iser, rolling rapidly.
So it's R (river) + ISER ('rapid roller near battlefield')
