Much as I think that Rees-Mogg is a pompous pillock, this is intolerable.

Hope he is OK. This is a back day for democracy.

Thanks Emmie....missed that !
think its the same one, appalling by the way, name and shame them i say, democracy lost out on this day.
if you look at the other link, then you will see that Rees Mogg was trying to break up the fracas, he stepped in and clearly got caught in the middle.
I saw this on news last night. Not students but rentamob.
Morning mikey,
yes, disgusting.....remember when that stupid woman threw flour or white paint over Mandelson? Why do people do this?
As for pillocks, I rather like them, the left and right are stereotyped but the "pillock" is a refreshing stereotype quote amusing and a bit different.
In fact i consider myself to be a pillock....and proud of it ;-)
no, students were there to hear him speak, but the altercation cam when rentamob came along and Rees Mogg stepped in, if you look at the other link

Morning Sqad !

You....a pillock ?....I couldn't possibly comment !

I am listening to Rees-Mogg on Radio 4 at the moment. Debating anything with him must be akin to trying to nail custard to the wall.
i like him - i know what others think but he has a sincerity about him.
mikey....LOL...LOL...yes but different eh?
The so called student "protesters" were not students at all, but a very small group of mindless yobos who gained access to the meeting.

mikey; why you feel the need to introduce such invective into your OP I can't say, but he is a very likely candidate for the next leader of the Tory party, Michael Portillo on News Week said he was the leader the country was crying out for, and the he is also the bookmaker's favourite for the post.
jesus that would be quick - it was only last night !

Yes and No - I think everyone has come out on the side of 'Let him speak!' - pompous pillock said himself that he supported free speech and that meant not only the stuff you liked...

when Verhoeven played in manchester a lot of shaven haired dutchmen came in and marching down to the stadium in good order - started doing a half-Nazi salute. This is very daring as it is unlawful back home
And a steward said to me - do you want a supporter, you are obviously not Dutch, and I said that they were allowed to do it ( make a salute ) and he kinda looked at me as tho I were mad

Khandro....if what you say is really true, then, as a Labour supporter, I hope Rees-Mogg replaces Tearful Theresa ASAP !
// stupid woman threw flour or white paint over Mandelson?//

no I remember Hague reminiscing with Prescott in the chamber - "o yes the election of 2010 - at least I got through it without hitting anyone!"
some of the protesters looked - well kinda superannuated
Disgraceful Mikey I agree. And counterproductive apart from anything else.
before this, I dont think there has been an instance where everyone has agreed that the function of a student is to sit there quietly - smoke a spliff and say - - - yeah, man ! in a sortta smokey haze
Danny 08.00, Have to agree with you on this one " Rentamob".
Probably Hired by the Con Party, to try and discredit the Labour Party
Gulliver1, for rentamob substitute Momentum
