Also another thing is I’ll guess that a 4/5 star hotel would do everything they could to avoid homeless rough speakers staying in their rooms especially if they looked rough and had sleeping bags etc as the guests there would probably complain as the rich certainly don’t like seeing the poor.

In this situation, it has already been cleared with the hotel...they were fine with it.
As far as favouritism is concerned, you also can look at it from the rough sleepers point of view. " I've been on the street longer than he has.. .why did he get the room and I didnt...I'm younger...I'm older...etc ". Does the charity have the time/manpower to go through all their clients and decide who is most deserving? No, picking a name out of a hat wouldn't work either. There are so many issues involved.
I don't think the charity should have been named...now there are idiots shouting "boycott...don't donate!"
