Wet and windy as in wound. Ouse.
16a Yes - Ouse - river; wet & windy (it winds)
25d Yes - Era - 'are' ("is", plural, up)
'is' for more than one becomes 'are', then reverse
Ouse- it is wet and it winds(windy)
Era- are (more than one) reversed
Is is singular 'are' is plural, reversed = ERA = time
is=one person Are= more than one. Up.
25 Is for more than one is are (he is they are) reversed
