Slow - Very Slow - Ipad Mini Charging

Something new for me - 4 yr old iPad mini suddenly taking hours to charge.
Google has lots of advice mostly focused on downloading fixes - anyone any simple solutions? Appreciate help - many thanks

Does it say "not charging"

If so, if you have a different cable try that.

My IPad4 does that - I suspect my cable is the culprit, as when I use the original cable (not handy as its shorter than my Belkin cable) it doesn't give me the problem.

My first Ipad is exactly the same compared to my new one.. I think after reading reports about battery life in the Apple phones, they make them so after a few years you’ll get bored with the waiting time and buy a new one..I dont think charger makes a difference as I use the new charger and it still takes considerably longer than charging the new one..
