Hello everyone - the most recent thread will no longer show in LP after next Wednesday, but is here for continuity -
https:/ /www.th eanswer bank.co .uk/Spo rt/Foot ball/Qu estion1 601442. html
This will be the last thread of the season, taking us up to (& for LP purposes, past) May 13th & I've posted it now as Game Week 39 looks like this -
Friday 4th May - 1 match, kick-off 8:00
Saturday 5th May - 6 matches, 1st kick-off 12:30
Sunday 6th May - 3 matches, 1st at 1:30
Tuesday 8th May - 1 match, 7:45
Wednesday 9th May - 4 matches, 1st at 7:45
Thursday 10th May - 1 match, 7:45
Then we've the final, full day of matches for this season on Sunday 13th May, all of them kicking-off at 3:00.
So plenty of scope for Captain changes & possibly using up any remaining transfers?
Last weekend wasn't bad for my teams - 74 & 62 points, moving up to 2nd & 5th in the League - I'll take that, thank you!
I hope the season ends well for everyone & that you've had some fun along the way, during what's been (as they say) a roller-coaster of emotion, a real journey full of highs & lows (& some sideways glances)...
Hopefully we can start the whole thing again in August - be well, all :-))

That second spot in our league looks quite close between three of you.
I'm hoping to take and keep the fifth from some fella? ;-)
A good Idea to post it early Lie-in king too.
It beggers belief what goes through some Prem league Managers minds during a season, injuries and suspensions are to be expected but resting players for no apparent reason when they're in my FF team is unacceptable!
Good luck everyone for the final push, I will post the final league when it's all done and dusted.
Well, either side could win it, or it could be a draw.

Hi Redman it'd be good to see you back in the AB league. If memory serves you were the fella to introduce the Sky one.
Yes Talbot plenty of time for you to use your transfers. I'm slipping down the league again in seventh, but not for long :-)
from Last LIK thread, thought I was going nuts, a very short journey

It'd be really great to see you both back in the League, so long as you don't trip each other making a cuppa... and don't win!
I've never won it (Prem one)but too much faith In My Man United players. They'll be a few in the World cup, if we have an AB league of the tournament.
They were only Myself and Togo in a European one a couple of years back... but that'd good for a 'World cup' one

I've been trying to contact Sky to find out about a World Cup game but their contact page refuses to accept my email address.
In any case, it might be that they'll not announce a game until the domestic season has finished on Sunday - I'll keep an eye on the site & try to contact them again on Monday & post here if I learn anything.
Of course, if anyone discovers another source running a World Cup game, any info would be good :-)
Rowan - if memory serves, you're also a Blues fan, so you'd be very welcome along with himself in August ;-)

Arky - thanks for that. 3rd & 4th? Over the moon, Brian, though sick as a parrot at losing 2nd - well-played, Mighty :-)
Congratulations to Rob on a brilliant showing once again - perhaps the next go-around will see the Robbers dethroned at last?
I hope everyone has had fun this season & will be back in August - hopefully we'll have a few new names at the restart.
Be well, all :-))
That was fantastic. In fact, the only word I can think of to describe it was awesome

No problem Lie-in King I had to copy the league fast, Sky sports wasn't working correctly, after I pasted and started to edit out the names I did a double take with 3 and 4 thinking balls! Iv'e gone wrong.
Very well done mate.
If you compare the link I provided we all scored a lot higher than last season. So much so tenth this season would have won it last season.
