Is Net Neutrality Important?

The US Senate just voted to overturn the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) decision from a few months ago to abandon net neutrality.

How important is this to those of us who use the internet?

Yes as otherwise it turns it from something to benefit humankind in general to something that's for commercial concerns primarily, and the rest are to consider themselves lucky to get whatever crumbs are left. If commercial concerns want a super-fast network let them build their own and remove their servers from the global internet.
