Has anyone else struggled with todays crossword. In all the years I have been doing it I have never struggled as much as today.I managed 6 answers in 45 minutes and picked up another 2 from here, neither of which make any sense to me with the questions.I give up.

If today's Mail had a setter's name, then you'd know next time it was set by them that it would be a good test....
For example, many of us on AB love having a tussle with Dean Mayer in The Sunday Times, every 3rd Sunday; and sometimes anonymous crosswords in other newspapers feel like one of his, but there's no way of knowing.

I agree with you, casternad. I usually finish it each day but yesterday I had to leave it with half a dozen unsolved - but as Mamyalynne says, I went back to it this morning, got one of them and the rest followed. The strange thing was that I looked on here yesterday and couldn't find any queries about it, so I thought that I was the only one who was struggling..
