What, in some Muslim countries, is the name for a woman of high rank, such as the widow of a prince?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.'Begum' is an Urdu word and as such would certainly be used for a Muslim princess in Pakistan, where that is the official language, or in India, perhaps. However, you would be unlikely to hear it used in Saudi Arabia, North Africa, any of the other Middle East countries or elsewhere in the Muslim world. The point I'm making is that 'Begum' isn't the "correct" answer, it's "an" answer applicable in certain areas. Cheers.
Actually, I did read the question correctly, unless you're suggesting that Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Egypt, Libya, Morocco, Oman, Lebanon, Syria and lots more DON'T qualify to be considered as "some Muslim countries" as well! There, MY answer is "correct" and 'Begum' ISN'T. That's all I wanted you to grasp...but I'll leave it at that.
