Why would anybody book with Ryanair these days?
19:53 Thu 23rd Aug 2018
what's a "cheque"?
That's quite a muck up - I would however be wary of trying to pay in an unsigned cheque.
I agree with TTT - why on earth would anybody issue a cheque nowadays when it is so easier to transfer the funds directly into an account.

I'm sure I've got a cheque book somewhere, but I wouldn't have a clue where to look for it, and I don't think I'm exaggerating by saying it must be at least 10 years since I last wrote a one.
Whilst agreeing the Ryanair should have used a better method to repay their customers , I'm not sure you are agreeing with TTT.

He asked a question.
^ that Ryanair
I'm pretty sure the question was rhetorical and was used as if to say 'who still uses cheques?' - but I could be wrong.
Yes, I'm being naughty - I do use cheques mainly for small quizzes by post, each month more are starting to use other methods but there are still a lot that want either coins (not good) or a cheque).
it looks like Ryanair still use cheques. Probably easier to bounce them than a bank transfer. Though I vaguely recall when we got one a few years ago it was just refunded to the credit card account we'd used to pay in the first place.
Wuse flok use cheques for loads of things. Ideal form of payment, doesn't rely on someone else's database to keep an accurate record and not crash out.

As for Ryanair, I take it they're going to also refund fees for bounced cheques ?
Wise folk...

You add two *&$% words and the tech changes both !!!!!!!
Wuse flok covfefe...
i still use cheques for all sorts of stuff
flipping heck, thay've changed their baggage rules again

Seems to be no more free wheelie bags unless you pay for priority boarding.

The latest is that Ryanair is going to administer a £6 surcharge for every request as to whether your flight is cancelled.
The shares immediately soared.
Unlike the plane :-(
OG: "Ideal form of payment, doesn't rely on someone else's database to keep an accurate record and not crash out. " - How do you think cheques work OG? written in a ledger? PMSL!
Hoppy, Ryan air are good if you learn their game, I use them all the time and I don't do the things they charge for. You have to keep up to date because they move the goal posts all the time. eg they'll switch the prepayment card you must use to not get a surcharge on using it etc. If you turn up like Hercule Poirot on tour then it's going to cost and arm and a leg. If you turn up with whatever the current spec of hand luggage is then you get a remarkably cheap experience. Ryan air make money out of those not bright enough to avoid their charges.
Do Ryanair still transport livestock in 2018?
