Any letters please lorus or are you just starting?
Errol Flynn.
Errol Kavanagh was a notable Pilot. ??
Patrick Kavanagh wrote a book called Tarry flynn if that fits the letters when you get some
Well 'tarry' is the answer to 22a in RTE40 - would ask lorus if his title is incorrect but not much point because we never get a reply, nor any letters placed.
ff - looks more like, just don't see why 'Our man'.
it was Our Man because it was a kind of autobiography by Patrick Kavanagh, he was the Tarry Flynn really in 1930's rural Ireland
Thanks for that^^^
You're welcome Dave, one of my fave Irish authors and poets :)

Nice to see Lorus back :)
...to tarry means to loiter, his character is like that, thus he lives up to his name
He did tend to loiter, if you read Enniskeen road he is with his bicycle watching all his peers heading to the dance but he's not joining them, always a watcher, I suppose, that's why his monument is sitting on a Canal Bank Walk - a sad man really I think - his grand niece is ever so funny though, Catherine Lynch
