21 Scotch bonnet? In short it’s drooping for Jock (6) _ OURIE
Is this "pourie"? (scottish for a jug/pitcher). Can't parse it at all!

Many thanks

Oourie
Question Author
Is that an alternative spelling of "ourie" please Danny?
It's not in Chambers :(

I parse Scotch Bonnet as Chilli - in short = Chill (ourie)
drooping in Scottish (for Jock) = ourie
Hence if it is an alternative spelling it fits!
sorry jj. my Scottish glossary shows oorie, ourie or owrie for drooping
but Chambers shows Tourie as a Scotch Bonnet.
Chambers has 'tourie' as 'a bobble on a bonnet'
and 'ourie' as drooping
Chambers has ourie oorie and owrie.
Jo, look up ^^^

Tourie - in short = ourie
