I joined a discussion (on Brexit nach) and my only comment was ‘have you forgotten we voted to leave already.

Some little esra who has ‘hacker’ as his middle name decided to trawl through my photos and post one with a ‘rather silly mean’ comment.

So I asked if he thought posting a picture of me would intimidate me? I also pointed out I was in costume and have literally hundreds to choose from and could he do a bit of advertising. I then posted five more pictures (some not overly flattering) to prove I don’t care what picture of me he posts.

I think I might have to change my privacy setting now though.

How any sane, responsible person bothers with the likes of FB and Twitter is beyond me. I certainly have no need of it; if I need to communicate with people I email them.

I (thought) I had my profile private. Obviously not.

I use FB now and then but for family and friends and tbh I’ve forgotten my password for Twitter so haven’t used it for about five years.

Surprisingly easy to change my privacy setting. Hopefully the little esra wipe won’t be able to get any more.

But what the hell he can post as many of me as he likes. Most of them would frighten the horses ...
Does a residue of tweets or other social media stuff leave a real person?
I've never seen trolling on FB.
I'd just ignore it if I were you.
If I had shares in FB I'd be selling them now.

Ha ha went back to see what he had done in the mean time and he has deleted his post.
Sorry but if you let any tom dick or harry post on your FB page you deserve all you get. Who on earth allows 'Public' to access their FB page? If you were really 'hacked' (which I doubt you were) then start by changing your log in details!

No my fb page is usually private but I make public the posts for advertising the plays I’m in and those are the pictures he had easy access to.

Everything else is family and friends only.
you can still have some public photos but only allow friends and family to post on your page.
FB settings/Public Profile/public post filters/public profile info
"Who can like or comment on your public profile pictures and other profile info?
Manage who can like or comment on profile information that is always public, including your profile pictures, profile videos, cover photos, featured photos and updates to your short bio."
You can set this to Public or Friends of Friends or No-one.
Honestly it's better to just ignore people likd that. Sorry to hear you were treated that way.
Kromo Thats a bit naive. If you allow anyone to access, comment and republish your photos you are asking for trouble.
