Stay Miserably Married Or Travel An Unsafe Country? What Is Better?

I got married about 2 years & 3 months ago. He seemed to have had a mask because he showed a mean, narcissistic side to himself after our wedding. I want to leave him but don't have anywhere to go otherwise. I recieve a small rental income, so I'd be fine financially. I thought of staying in my car but it in not so safe in South Africa. Read online that hospital parking lots are safe, so I'm considering that. The thing is, is that I love to travel. So if I leave him (no arguing or talk of divorce.. just leave) then I would explore my beautiful country. I feel emotionally abused in my marriage.. but walking out is hard too. Thank you!

pretty much anything is preferable to staying with someone you hate. Sure, travel if you can afford it and if you feel safe.

This is a UK based site and people who post on it are predominantly from the UK. They may not be best placed to advise you about your proposals in South Africa. One thing I would say is that if you are leaving him you should get divorced. It can get messy in later life if if you have an estranged husband.
