New to this puzzle and enjoyed it but stuck in NE corner. Answers to 10a Moraliser with hint of ardour destroyed books of heraldic devices (9) ARMO??Al? and 9d Stay pursuing beginnings of enemy siege attempt (5) E?N?Y would go a long way to help me finish TIA

9 You gave the wrong first word - it's Slay, not Stay - and the L is extra, giving the Say in my earlier answer.

Thank you bookbinder and neveracrossword (nice to hear from you again!). I still have something wrong with 7d. At the moment I have YRN?F which doesn't look too promising! Any ideas on where I'm going wrong?
