I can't understand the Guardian's thinking. They are always clamouring for new subscribers and yet here they are, replacing what should be a fun crossword for the average solver with one designed to drive most people away!

Agree totally Wolfram. Absolute travesty of a crossword. We did it all, but it is whacky in the extreme. This used to be good fun, today's was like pulling teeth. The clues are too obtuse, the Irish Sea clue is just odd. The Guardian have to sort this mess out or they will lose subscribers. A great English tradition is on its knees!
