This is one of those crosswords where you have to manipulate the input so all I can say at the moment is that it ends with "S" and either the first letter or the third letter (or both of them) must be an R. Therefore it could be
R _ R _ S or R - - - S or _ _ R _ S
However if one of the first or third letters is not an R, then it must be a PQKB or N

Do you think it could be "Ports"?
Cork is a port, therefore "ports" and "port holes" ??

That looks ok - and ports are holes, openings. It could change to Rorts, yobs.

Thanks both.
Nac "rorts" was the only word that I could find that fit my input pattern, so I suspected it was the first letter that needed to be changed, but my dictionary isn't as good as Chambers, so there was the possibility that it could have been the third instead.

Many thanks to you both, I am going with RORTS as my input and am submitting now!
