Have a full grid but not quite sure what the preamble is implying for the last bit??
Do we just remove the 5 unclueds except where their letters are in the title or the top row or bottom row?

Roslyn, still not sure what you mean, are you talking about leaving blanks in the unclued answers or inn all the answers where a letter does not appear in the top and bottom lines?

dannyk13 - The preamble suggests we read the song title as an instruction, so there has to be another step (and I can't think of a better alternative).
It looks like an afterthought to me - the 5 definitions are what the song title suggests in any case.

As the unclued entries started to appear I thought we might have to erase the whole lot but leave the highlighting.

I think you've picked a bad week to start doing EV.
