Tyres On Fox's Menu !
Beware !
This morning I came down to find that foxes had bitten through three of my tyres, resulting in a recovery of the vehicle and a bill for £145 ! Other neighbours in my area Bexleyheath/Dartford) have also suffered. The tryre fitter recalled a customer who has had eight tyres ruined by foxes this Summer !
I've now protected my parking bay with four electronic fox deterrent gadgets and a liberal splashing around the car with Jeyes Fluid.
Why do foxes find tryres so appetising/attractive ?
Cheers. D

Thanks for all your answers.
Yes, there does seem to a lot of this going on in my area. The tyre fitter thought it was a lot of building works impinging on the animals' natural habitat and forcing them into built-up areas. I've seen them in my back garden quite frequently.
Also, it has been suggested that there may be some animal content in the make-up of tyres which drives the fox into a mating-type frenzy !
Cheers.
