Thank you Captain2 With 268 across the R comes from 233 down Apparently, which I've answered as OUTWARDLY as I'm pretty sure of the O,W&Y (if that makes any sense!) and with 144 across the last but one letter comes from the second letter of 139 down: Decree which I think is either EDICT or ENACT.
