After a bit of help and a lot of head scratching, unlike those clever people here who have finished, I am left with these:
67. Greek philosopher got the bird but had a scout around. 7,5
79. The club team used to solve cases. 8
0. He might do justice to an issuer of notes. 8
91. Sadly a bride's hands are tied. 7
96. Dull writing is abridged by ten - not specified. They are brought before a court. 12
97. Rarely granted a search. 7
98. Old prisoner serving his time in an educational establishment? 9
I would be most grateful for a hint or six so that I can submit a completed puzzle.
Thanks in advance.
Thank you for that jj.
Should have got 67. I've just finished reading Go Set a Watchman.
I can see more than one anagram for 91, but can't see a legal connection in any of them. What am I missing?
book binder - I've been doing this quiz for a long time and I think most solvers want to complete it as far as possible via their own efforts. It's just that sometimes one needs a little nudge.
Like Jeceris I am just short of No.98. "Old prisoner serving his time in an educational establishment"(9) Constable is a possibility but not happy with it!
Pete65. Thanks for that.
Another I couldn't have have solved without help from someone with access to The Holy Chambers. Can't help thinking that the Rainbow Charity might see more people submitting solutions if there were fewer obscure and archaic clues. If I didn't know about this site I would have given up by now.
