Got it now, except 17 across: Train that changes tracks (5) ?OINT - I can only think of point?????
Now for the approximate shape, mine looks like it has been squashed by a very heavy vehicle - it's nowhere near that shape I hoped for. Has anyone got a perfect shape?

Yes, Train - just a double definition , train a gun on someone, point that switches tracks. I didn't think the shape was totally convincing, but on an earlier thread there's a hint as how to make it a little better...

My shape is three letters on top line, three letters on second line (to the right) and below that one letter below the first letter of the second line - is that correct????

Ripper, my shape is a little different - two rows of three letters, one directly below the other, and a single letter underneath these, with the highlighted letter slap in the middle.
