You never see a question on it in the AnswerBank but I'm sure there must be someone who can help me out in today's version (maybe neveracrossword?). Anyway the clue for 5d today is Shakespearean director wanting RU team in Madrid?(6) I have ?UINCE which must be QUINCE But why?

Jimmy given regular space to measure casual wear (5)
I have ?EANS, so it looks like JEANS, casual wear.
I think jimmy=james, but can't see the rest.

Iminoz, I think Jimmy = Jas (and it's in Bradford's Crossword dictionary) and En is the space (in printing). J e a n s.
