Gosh, that was a workout and a half! I'm not certain I've got the final transcription right, but I'm not too bothered as I don't send in. It's clear what's required, though there's plenty of room for error here. Initially I thought that the jigsaw element was a complication too far, and perhaps it is, but it all added to the fun. The clues were as tough as the A-team but totally fair. Terrific puzzle, thanks Yorick.

Excellent puzzle. Group 3 was the weak entry point for us which enabled us to work out what was going on. Apologies if being Scots gave us an advantage with half a dozen or so clues. Next week should be a numerical (?), which we don’t do.
Gosh that was difficult - fantastic puzzle though. I predict it will be the puzzle this year with the most incorrect entries.
Golly gosh. Head spinning somewhat. I suspect it will indeed prune down the dinner invites.
Interesting that there are so few comments here! It was tricky from start to finish, but scrupulously fair, accurately described, and very well constructed. Do we want more from a Listener?
This has kept me occupied for almost a week. The clues were devilish and I failed to cold solve 8 of them. I took the plunge and found the piecing together not as bad as originally feared.

Good luck to John Green checking these -- a headache will result methinks, although, hopefully for him, the entry could be low.

Great puzzle and an excellent diversion from all the work I'm doing at the moment.

Thanks, Yorick.
