I have emailed Radio Times to request the clue to 1. down

I have received this from RT:

"Unfortunately there was an error during the preparation of our Prize Crossword this week which led to the line for the 1 Down clue being omitted.
Our apologies for any disappointment.
The clue should be: “Caught Welsh boy on main road returning to Roman road” (9)
We will still run the prize but will dismiss 1 down.
The closing date has been extended to the 10 March."

Clue seems a bit wrong at the end but as it is being discounted don't suppose it matters.
