Bowling Green Verses Girls School
Sorry can’t find the link as it’s in the actual paper and Can’t find it online but....
Pg 27 of the Express has an article about a bowling green leased for 90 odd years from a girls school and they may not get a new lease.
The thrust of the dispute is that the bowling green overlooks the class rooms were the girls change. There are apparently 163 pupils aged 2 to 11 yrs.
Now one picture shows the green and you can’t even see the school. That could just be the angel it was taken at though. However the drone shot shows the school in relation to the bowling green and quite frankly I can’t see how you can fit 163 pupils into a detached house. It’s not as if it is even a big rambling place. It has been extended to the edge of the boundary but it is still just a detached house in a suburban street.
Both the school and the bowling club say they are under threat of closure but surely all the school needs to do is draw the blinds when the girls change and get a higher fence !!

So maybe for example the nursery bits don't take up much space per child and maybe some are there only on certain days or some do mornings, some afternoons.
Not only that but the school recently got planning permission to build a new club pavilion for the use of......the bowling club. After being granted permission they have withdrawn the lease extension. What do you suppose their real plans were?
