Question Author
Many thanks, I see 7a clearly and thought the 5 letter town in herts could be TRING, but it clashes with my novel at 29/31. Is my 39a correct? Thanks for any further help!
No, it's NAEVUS.
... I gave the answer to 36 (PEEOY) earlier, Matakari - and TRING is the right town for 5.
PM, I think YOUR name should go on any submitted entry for this!
...sorry, 23 is TRING (on the outside) not 5.
No, Neveracrossword - I'm hanging on to my amateur status! Good to see you back.
Question Author
Thank you, ProfessorMaisie and Neveracrossword, for your patience and invaluable help. I learned a great deal from you and was happy to find the author and the novels from this puzzle which I found difficult. I promise to persecute you all less in the future. Many thanks again!
