Just been for our daily walk and not a duck, heron or kingfisher to be seen but as we were walking home a fox ran across the road, right in front of us, with a rabbit in it’s mouth. The kids were amazed, it really cheered them up :)

Lucky you how lovely but hard luck on the rabbit. But that's nature I guess.
maybe that's where the birds have gone too?
Weird kids.
Question Author
Why are they weird?
Most kids love bunnies. Hey, I'm not saying they're going to turn into serial killers or anything. Wouldn't hurt to get them checked out though.

Such a muppet.
Pity Spicerack's mum didn't get him checked out, Sherr.... :-)
The kids sound perfectly normal to me.
Hey, no need of that. Let's all be friends. I even found a nice film to make the kids happy;

The kids are realists, foxes eat rabbits - and we got to see a fox close up with a rabbit in it’s mouth. The things particularly enjoyed it as they didn’t get to see the foxes in the field last year as they were too short to see over the hedge.
Know how they felt, Sherr....... I still can’t see over hedges...... :-(
The foxes?
Question Author
:( you’ll have to get SD to give you a leg up
Question Author
Yes foxes, rabbit eating wild animals, sort of look like ginger dogs (we know where a family of foxes live and go to see them when we can, watch the cubs play, etc).
On a lighter note, I saw the hedgie again...he was on the path and Sammi behaved.
Question Author
I’m still waiting for our hedgehogs, the food and water is out but I haven’t seen them yet - hope they haven’t found better hospitality somewhere else.
Maybe the foxes invited them to dinner?
Spice rack I'm with you all the way.
Question Author
Pretty sure that foxes don’t have opposable thumbs so they couldn’t hold a pen to invite the hedgehogs over (plus there’s the whole social distancing thing going on).
I've saw an owl on two nights last week. It was flying silently across the garden. Too early I think for feeding chicks so it was a probably just going home aftet a night ou ty.
