Uk Lockdown Date....
12 Answers
UK yesterday had its highest recorded death toll of 934 in 24 hrs, bringing it higher than Italy’s highest of 919, which has lead ministers to say that the lockdown will now go on for weeks rather than end sooner. Are we all surprised with this, or if is it what we expected?? Xx

There may even be a tightening of restrictions if that's feasible- eg no exercising 8am-5pm or more roadblocks. What happens after that will depend on the figures but the 'best' we can hope for, I think, is for some limited relaxation, maybe in certain regions, or regarding things like letting garden centres open. There will be restrictions of some sort for at least 6 months, maybe 12 months, but the large parts of the economy will collapse/disappear completely if the lockdown lasts more than 4 months so there will have to be some relaxation by July, even if Covid is still killing hundreds every day
>Maybe the warmer weather will have an effect on the virus.
Hope so. It's early days, I know, but there was some research that showed the impact was very marginal. Some warm countries such as Australia and warm parts of the US, for example, have still been affected.
The wider availability of antibody testing and virus testing should be a bigger help by June
