Does anyone watch this program? It's amazing what they do.

But i do wonder how much they would charge for the rescue, bet its loads, those 'wrecker' trucks they drive are worth 80-100k so business must be good.

Haven't seen this but did watch Highway Thru Hell with Jamie Davies and his heavy lifting gear. Fascinating.

You can easily double that price Darcey. An 8 wheel tipper (like I drive) is at least 110K (+VAT!) nowadays, so I would put a big wrecker in the order of 250K...a lot of outlay! I have only had to be recovered twice (both breakdowns, not accidents or rollovers) and just for that, for about a 15mile trip was £300, so for all the kit and recovery you would be talking up to 5K, but of course in an accident situation, that would be covered by the insurance.

Oh wow! Thats quite some outlay, but if, like you say they charge thousands per recovery if must be worth it.
