1) Declining to scrap scripture period (6) ?E?A?E
2) Stop remarking on very short dress? (5) S?I?T
3) One that shines as member of large Kent family? (6) ?E?U?N The definition would suggest SEQUIN, but I find it hard to believe The Times would use "a quintuplet from the South East" to correspond to "member of large Kent family". Am I being overfussy?

Shift - 'sh' (stop remarking) + '1 ft' (very short)

2 Shift
1 Decade
1 Decade(NT)

3 seems a fair clue
3 Looks very much like it to me Tim.......
... where did I get 'Tim' from? Sorry, Tio.

Thanks Captain2 and Mamyalinne. I should have got Decade but, forgive my lack of cerebration, I still don't get Shift. Obviously it's a dress, but not necessarily a short one, let alone a very short one. And how does "Stop remarking on" fit in? Is it something to do with Short Shrift?
Shift - 'sh' (stop remarking) + '1 ft' (very short)
Or “short shrift” as a term for a blunt response.
I parsed it as LIK has, makes sense.
