toss of a coin job isn't it?
I thought shift but ?

My main thought was that Stint might not be an allotted period but not sure.
Shift

Thanks all. I think Shift wins!
The Collins Dictionary definition of STINT:

'an allotted or fixed amount of work '
...I think that a SHIFT relates primarily to a period of work and a STINT to an amount. So probably SHIFT. Perhaps.
From dickpatven123,
It is my experience that the COLLINS English Dictionary almost ALWAYS has the wording of the clue verbatim to the crossword so I am afraid that it is STINT. Sorry if I am late with my contribution but if any late comers are helped then so be it.
