Ev To End ...

Quote from crossword centre.org...
I have heard that the Enigma Variations puzzles in the Sunday Telegraph will cease after this August. I am saddened by this end to a long-running series of thematic crosswords. EV editor, Steve Bartlett, only recently took the role of EV editor when Chris Lancaster was promoted to be Telegraph crossword editor.
Shame....

However, I stopped submitting to the EV when the fifteensquared blogs of two of my puzzles received no comments at all (the puzzles didn't get any mentions on the forums either). I think most amateur setters want as much feedback - and evidence that people are doing their crosswords - as they can get, and Listener/IQ/Magpie/Crossword Centre puzzles invariably seem to elicit far more reaction.
Yes, the good news came through last week. I would urge all EV solvers to make a point of either commenting on 15 squared or emailing comments to [email protected]. The problem was the perceived lack of interest so let's show there is that interest.
