Could someone give me some hints for 15a "Spenser's miscalled on return of serve"?

I think but only think it is "deliver" (serve) = reviled reversed

I’m still struggling with this one despite having read this thread. Could someone explain why Edmund Spenser miscalled = reviled? I’m sure I’m missing something obvious.

I can't find a precise reference, but think the setter knows that Spenser used "reviled" for "miscalled" - they are synonymous, as "to abuse"

Sorry, I'm an idiot - it's the other way around - Spenser used "miscall" for "revile" - an example in Book 4 Canto VIII -

"...Whom she with leasings lewdly did miscall,
And wickedly backbite..."
