Many thanks,Roslyn and others, sorry I messed up, too, there is no 9(A), I meant 19(A). For 6(D) I now have CREEKS and 32(D) UZO. Am I right. I am having a look at the other hints now. And I've got the theme, that's why I hinted that I was on the ball and batting well, Neveracrossword!

Still somewhat in the dark with 14(A) ( A?? ) except my 4(D) is wrong: 4 Bard’s cave in western part of continent (5) (ANTRE ). For 19(A), I now have: 19 We’re told Roman king suffers ruin (6): W?E?KS

9d - secret dating is wrong - it’s an anagram of the first 3 words in the clue
19 look for the Latin word for king then a word that sounds like it and means suffers ruin
