Tedsgran, NUL is correct for the beginning. That's in row 2. There are two letters in each of the next four rows, then 3 in row 7, those positioned similarly to the 3 in row 2....

Saladdodger, that's not what you need. We've to get two separate words, words which are said to have derived from the highlighted part. How are your foreign language skills? (They're pretty common words).
