As Home Secretary she should be:

- Aware of the laws about prejudicing trials.
- Aware that there was an high profile trial underway.

Sadly, we all know that the current cabinet is full of mediocre, talentless and frankly dim bunch of opportunists. They are there for their loyalty and past toadying. So we shouldn’t be at all surprised that Patel Tweets before she thinks.

I quite liked the speculation that Gavin Williamson was only being kept in the cabinet so that each of the others would be safe in the knowledge that there was someone worse than him or her :-)
