Is everything electrical only sold these days with a sealed mains plug?...last weekk, the telly plug blew and yesterday, the kettle blew and messed up the electrics, with no chance at all to replace the fuse - or whatever's in there these days! So, is the only choice, no choice but to go and buy a new...? Ta Muchly and a Stay Healthy New Year to All...(luckily, we had a spare kettle, but now have to get a spare spare, not to mention a new telly - Oh, I just did...well, you've got to laugh, eh or scream!

Etch you may have it!...looked at plug and saw fuse holder (suppose?) and on it was/is written El-225 and also 5A/250v - and there are the two little thingys that you mentioned. The plug was in a multi-socket "bar" and tested all other sockets and they worked fine with their own designated plug, but did not work with the blown plug. Hopefully, we'll get to work with s/driver, see what comes out and pop in a new fuse and take it from there!...that sound okay?
