Having a bit of a mad day work wise and getting nowhere fast so having a short break. This is not a moan as I'm very lucky to be working.

Anyway, son has been learning about the Mayan culture including human sacrifice. He has now been set a task to create a guide on how to do a human sacrifice. Bit weird and scary but going along with it anyhow.

Anyone else come across this or any other learning / homework that's a tad weird? Hes in Y6.

Think all children should be taught that human sacrifice was an ancient custom in some cultures but has no place in today's society.
I think the task he has been set is inappropriate for any age. In my opinion a better task would have been to ask his thoughts on wether human sacrifice is acceptable in any culture or not
