This self-styled Royalty Guru believes that latest events will lead to the demise of the British Monarchy.

Now I'm certainly no Royalist, but I think she's got it hopelessly wrong. The wonderful stoicism and dignity shown by HM Queen Elisabeth will, if anything, attract more admiration for the BRF.

The Megan girl and her pitiful husband will only attract scorn on themselves, not the BRF.

I think it will take a lot more than H&M to bring down the Monarchy.
Now the D of E has passed, I'm hoping P.Charles will step up to the plate, and with the help of Camilla and William and Kate, he will make sure the Monarchy lives on for a very long time.
There is a great deal more loyalty to the Queen than there is to the institution of monarchy IMV. Charles WILL succeed (assuming he outlives her) but there needs to be a lot of modernisation/slimming down as has happened in other countries or there will be growing calls for abolition.
Maybe your wrong canary42 I your interpretation.. They dont say it will lead to there demise just that it may do.

I've wondered whether Charles might stand down in favour of William. I'm not sure I'd want all the pressures that being a monarch brings if I was in my 70s but then I haven't been born to it.
It might not be a question of Charles standing down, he might have to become King and then abdicate, and I don't think he's want to be known for doing that.
As per previous posts here he would have to succeed & then abdicate. I don't think he will do that.
Charles wouldn't step aside, he's waited too long to become King.
if the Queen lives another 5 years that means he will be 76? before coming to the throne.
correction he's 72 now, that would make him 77
It's been a long time on the dole, that's for sure.
I think he's taking over quite a lot of the Queens workload already going on the news the other day.
The Monarchy will survive thankfully , William will steer it through with his father of that I have no doubt

"But Pasternak believes he could not take up the opportunity. “It may be that there is such a groundswell of public opinion against [Charles] that it’s deemed by the firm preferable for William to ascend then because he’s younger, more relatable,” she explained." - and all at once she demonstrates such mind blowing ignorance of the process.
The author has a book coming out (Millennial Love, out 8 July 2021).

She's just raising her profile.
....by demonstrating how thick she is?
Of course Charles will be King, then with his woke/climate change nonsense(And William is pratting on about this now) and meddling in politics it should be the end to the Monarchy.

Rachael & Henry will not break the BRF.
Not everyone, especially the sub 30s whom her book is aimed at, knows how the Monarchy works. Even less of them care.
so she writes one book and she is a Royal expert Pffft!
she ably demonstrates that she is NOT a royal expert.
