Whilst it is better than Whoopi Goldberg's outfit it isn't my favourite.

Hailey Bieber's dress is nice and so is Jennifer Lopez's frock. Some of them are hideous.

I have no idea about fashion and trends (I am wearing a faded cat t-shirt and a really flowery skirt with an elastic waist.) but who wears a horse to a gala?

mamya - if I had the figure that some of those ladies have I would be wearing a slinky, clingy dress with a big smile on my face. I wouldn't be wearing a horse.

That said, I think that it would be a fun evening.

There are certainly some 'out there' outfits but it's worth mentioning that the Met Gala is specifically about wearing something avant-garde or surreal in the name of art. It's not really fashion and not what most of them would wear to the Oscars either.

Oh dear...here I am, a transplanted New Yorker...and I thought " the Met" referred to the Metropolitan Opera House. Doh!
The fact that it's connected to the Metropolitan Museum explains the avant-garde fashion.
