And this is a bit of fun thread, not to be taken seriously
The setting is a very big old house at the top of a winding lane that leads down to a fictional village that has a pub called The Nags Head, a Drapers shop ,a butchers and a small school with a church attached , all set in a square of cobble stones
The old house has 3 floors and has to be maintained, the top floor houses a nursery .
Who on here will make a good?
I own the the big house. Like many of the bigger houses it is commandeered by the army as a hospital for wounded soldiers. The nursery provides sleeping accommodation for the nurses. There is an annexe where a dozen American soldiers are housed. They help to maintain the grounds and the house and provide security for the hospital. The cellars are converted...
Assuming you meant to say, "Who will make a good character?" then i would be the guy propping the bar up from opening time to chucking out time. I had plenty of practice back in the day though it doesn't really take that much skill :-J
Flog off any surplus land for some developer to build a few hundred more houses, close the pub, the shops & the school & scrap the local bus service. Job done!
A good employee, servant ,barman, the list is endless, just use your imagination, there’s all thd place in the square as well as in the big house
( not going very well is it haha)
Cottage I guess, with a wife who reminds everyone of Hilda Ogden. Retired and spending most days in the pub or allotment to keep away from the wife. Smoking Woodbines of course. Kids moved away to the City and rarely see them, hence the bitter twisted and cynical person.
