Straightforward perhaps, but well put together with some nice clues and good misprints. One of those that hooked you and kept you in till the last letter. thanks Aedites

Still, there were some neat traps hidden in some of the clues and misprints.
Interesting to see that the Listener site's notes for 4681 end with "The squares are arranged to suggest a heart shape, for “love”. I wasn't convinced myself, but I'm glad my instincts were right for once!

Nice puzzle with some well disguised misprints. I couldn't agree more with Hagen and HawkCrossword I, too, thought exactly the same regarding "have I missed something, is there something extra that now needs to be done?".
I guess the endgame gives suitable ammunition to see the "joke" in the preamble.
Thanks, Aedites. I appreciated an easy one this week.

Aedites' puzzles are always well crafted. I agree that there were some tricky misprints, so it wasn't all plain sailing.
Re Hagen's comment on 4681, the setter has made clear in his blog on 'Listen with Others' that the theme was the more popular version of the original biblical quotation, and that there was no conscious attempt to arrange the squares in a heart shape. I'm not sure why the editors have invented something that isn't there, and needs some imagination to see.
