Because "they" have family, because there are communities of Kurds, Syrians, Iraqis, because they speak English, because "we" are so friendly and welcoming.

Thats a laugh in itself. I have a family of Syrian refugees in one of my rental properties. They are lovely people and keep the house beautifully -but nearly three years on and they still need interpreters. The only one in the family that can speak English is the little girl who is bout 9 years old and she learnt that at school over here.
// Because "they" have family, because there are communities of Kurds, Syrians, Iraqis, because they speak English,// - stop it, my sides are splitting, they don't integrate, they want to turn UK into the sheet hole they came from, which is ironic.
I'm assuming you are not claiming that the UK is the only country in Europe where people are claiming asylum

is is recorded that in the second three months of 2021 in Germany had 29,545 cases, followed by France (22,015) and Spain (12,335), to go with the 37,562 for the entire year to September in the UK.
have a day off ich, the lefties, the anti British, the remoaners who are still angry that we don't want to be ruled by an unelected junta. They denigrate and belittle us every day.
//I didn't realise (everyone else probably did...) that people can't "apply" to come here from home.//
Yes they can. They can apply for a Visitor Visa, a Student Visa, a Family Visa or a Work Visa. None of these are likely to be granted, however, if you just want to come here and work, cash-no-questions-asked, in a car wash or delivering fast food on a motor scooter. And nor should they be. Those arriving in rubber boats want to circumvent this arrangement by claiming they are in danger or being persecuted. And they are not when they are living in France or any other EU country.
