There may be a misprint in the definition.

36 Ridiculous after Kingston’s youth mostly arrested lacking maturity (10)

15 Children putting shell money endlessly in purses (9)

Preamble says that all answers for normal clues have to be disguised. Both 10a and 2d look normal but they go in "as is" with no disguise. Do I have those entries wrong?

Thanks.

36 rudimental (to be adjusted)
15 CHICKPEAS
10 + 2d must be adjusted.
...the misprint in 15 is in 'puLses' (for 2d/10a only the shared letter changes, hankir).

Thanks ProfessorM.
I was hung up on Chits for Children.
I probably eat something made of Chickpeas a few times a week.

How does 36 parse?

Ridiculous is mental but how "youth mostly arrested" become Rudi?
A West Indian boy is a 'rude boy' or 'rudi(e)' - (I like chickpeas, too - as long as they're spicy).
...'arrested' is part of the def (ref arrested development).

Thanks ProfessorM.
Not familiar with Rudie.
Order Chhole in Indian Restuarant for spicy chickpeas.
Bhatura will be the bread that comes with it.

Still not sure what to do with disguising of answers.
Hope it helps once I have all the across misprints.

Thanks, hankir - I'll remember that (I've seen both on the menu at a great veggie restaurant here in the NW of England).

The 'message', when you get it, requires a little bit of thought but it leads to a very good endgame (I think). You might see what's going on before you get to that point (when you see what letters are being adjusted) but it might make you smile even then.

Thanks.

A while back I had eaten at a very good Indian restaurant in Edinburgh. Don't remeber the name though.
If it was one of the chains, maybe Dishoom or Mother India? Now there's a Mowgli (originally based in Liverpool) opening there - but Edinburgh already has lots of good ones.
