Trying to understand preamble.
Clues are paired with a word from each swapped.
If there are two clues in a row or column, they are paired, I believe.
But when there is a single clue in a row or a column, they are paired with their symmetrically opposite clue?
For example 12a paired with 30a, 13a paired with 32a?
For down clues 3d paired with 14d and 5d with 23d?
Going to take a while to solve.
Thanks.
