Suchfun? Guardian Codeword.

Is “suchfun” a legitimate English word? It seems to be the only possible word to complete today’s Guardian codeword (1st August 2022).
Where is the satisfaction in spending time on a puzzle if the compiler rides roughshod over the unwritten rules?

Even if urban slang is admissible, it’s still a phrase not a word. The puzzle is called “Codeword”, not Codephrase.

Yep. Every letter is the only possibility according to the Codeword rules.
It’s a 7 letter word. S,U,C,H,U(again)and N are all used (more than once) elsewhere in the puzzle which all fits together perfectly.
The only unused letter available to fill position 5 is “F”.

I know I ought to get out more, but I have been analysing the words used in Codeword for the last year. The busiest 4-letter word is TSAR (12 appearances) then USED(11), TAXI(10) and AXLE(10). 5-letters: XENON(9), is beaten by two animals. I offer an entirely virtual prize to whoever names them!
